Advanced Adventurer Course (Advanced Open Water)
Improve Your ScubaThe Advanced Adventurer Course is designed to improve your underwater knowledge and skills. You can enroll immediately after earning your Open Water Diver certification regardless of your skill level – you don’t need to be an ‘advanced’ diver to take the course.
The course helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving or underwater imaging. After completing your eLearning, you will undertake five Adventure Dives: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification.

Course Overview
Begin your Advanced Adventurer program today and further enhance your skills for future dive adventures. This course will help you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities such as drift diving, night diving or peak performance buoyancy. After completing your eLearning, you will undertake five Adventure Dives with a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F) and navigation dive required; plus, three additional adventure dives.
The SSI Advanced Adventurer dive training course involves five different specialty areas to complete for your Advanced Adventurer certification. This includes:
- Deep Diving
- Night Diving
- Navigation
- Peak performance buoyancy
- Drift Adventure Dive
- Advanced Certification enabling you to dive to maximum depth of 30 metres*
- Two core dives and three elective specialty dives (total of five dives)
- Premium scuba equipment supplied (course duration)
- e-Learning materials and ongoing reference material
- All adventure dives will be conducted on our purpose-built dive vessel – Cygnet 1
Prerequisites & Requirements:
- You must be certified as an Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation)
- Children must be 12 years or older
- All participants will have to fill out a quick medical form that will be sent to you upon booking. If you there are any ‘yes’ answers, a recreational diving medical may be required
*Please Note: Depth limit noted above applies to adult divers over 15 years old. For certified divers, age 12 – 14, the junior SSI advanced adventure depth limits apply.
