Long Range Adventure Dive Trip – Cook Island Double Dive
Dive TripsJoin OZDIVE for a double dive to Cook Island Marine Park which is a beautiful dive site just off Tweed Heads. Suitable for all experience levels, it is reasonably shallow and offers rocky/sandy bottom, coral and a large variety of marine life. This marine reserve is approximately 80 hectares of marine estate and is famous with locals for its permanent colony of green and loggerhead turtles.
Divers can expect to find a colourful mix of reef and pelagic fish including pufferfish, groupers, and clownfish, as well as other marine life including nudibranchs, stingrays, eels, octopus, Wobbegongs, and leopard sharks during the summer months. Departing from The Dive Deck located at 95 Marine Parade, Southport , it takes approx. 45min with calm conditions to reach the site.
Price includes tanks, weights, snacks and after dive BBQ.
Duration: Approximately six (6) hours.
Please note, that while we may nominate a dive site, they are in no way guaranteed. If we cannot go to the dive site due conditions, then the skipper will nominate the next best suitable spot. There is no refund if we dive an alternative dive sites to the dive site originally planned. Our dive site selection is confirmed on the day due to weather and/or dive conditions. In the event this dive trip is changed to an alternate location that is not a ‘Long Range Adventure Dive’, then the $20 price difference will be refunded, or credit note issued.
Duration: Approximately seven (7) hours.
Important Note: It is a requirement that all divers carry a signal tube (safety sausage/SMB), if you do not own one then you can purchase one at the time of booking or on the morning of the dive. You must also carry a snorkel and use a dive computer. The divemaster is there to help all divers. If you feel you need your own private and dedicated DM, then this service is available for an extra $149.
